We (Connie Carter and Les Badgett) have worked diligently to build businesses that can be handed down from generation to generation. In 2017, we started with a commercial relocation company called Corporate Relocators, LLC. serving the surrounding Houston, Texas area. Corporate Relocators, LLC is the brainchild of Les, and it has grown tremendously in the last 2 1/2 years. In 2019, Carter Collections was created which sells decommissioned furniture. We acquire our used office furniture from businesses that relocate to new offices and no longer want or need their current furniture. In many cases, companies buy new furniture since they are moving into a new space. In other instances, companies downsize and do not have the space for their current furniture. 

Carter Collections is dedicated to my father, Glen Carter, who worked in the furniture industry his entire career. He began working in the furniture industry at Pontiac Chair Factory in Pontiac, Illinois constructing and assembling chairs and working his way into a management position. He worked at several other furniture companies, including Flexsteel. When I was a little girl, he made me a miniature chair for my doll. It was one of the greatest gifts I ever received because it was made with love. His work ethic, ambitiousness, and overall love of life had a tremendous influence on me. He passed away suddenly in 1988, but his inspirational spirit guides me in every aspect of my life.
